Glasscock Guitars Serial Number Decoder

Before I began to send my scratch-built original designs out into the wild I knew I needed to come up with a serial number combination. Serial numbers are important. They allow the maker/manufacturer to keep track of each product they make. It helps them to know all sorts of stuff with that single product. For instance, it tells them what color it was originally, what customization (if any) was done, and all sorts of little details they deem important.

With all this in mind and myself coming from an automotive background I was quite familiar with auto VIN numbers and what information is available within that VIN number. So what did I do? I created a serial number sequence that would give anyone several details about whichever guitar they were looking at, owned, or even buying it used. (Hey, ya never know where your product will end up nor how many people will ultimately own it during its lifetime. So without further ado I give you the Glasscock Guitars Serial Number Sequence and the information it provides.
